The Hôtel Plaza Athénée Since it opened in 1911, troche it has been part of the very exclusive club of Parisian palaces. During the course of its history, generic the Hôtel Plaza Athénée has welcomed the world’s great and notable figures.
Among those who have been seen here are cinema stars such as Rudolph
Valentino and Marlène Dietrich, dynasties of industrials and
politicians including the Vanderbilts and Kennedys, flamboyant
millionaires such as Barbara Hutton who always arrived with
her own satin sheets. And of course, the couturiers…
Completely renovated in 2000, the hotel now claims the largest
suite in Paris measuring 450 square meters, and its kitchens boast an exceptional chef, Alain Ducasse. If the classic Art Deco decor remains a strong point, the hotel is still on the cutting edge of design: the bar is the work of contemporary designer, Patrick Jouin. The room’s vintage woodwork blends harmoniously with the futuristic bar in luminescent glass.
