The Montaigne Committee’s Harvest Celebration
On September 11th 2012 from 7pm to 10:30pm, Avenue Montaigne, the Avenue’s Harvest Celebrations will take place.
21 years ago based on an idea of Nathalie Vranken’s, « la fête des Vendanges » or « the celebration of the Harvest » was born.
A « Parisian evening » of the Avenue Montaigne and of the Rue François Ier.
Gathering for one evening an elegant crowd ready to discover the new collections and the best wines.
Depending on the year, about forty fashion houses participate in this Harvest celebration. It takes place
every two years.
On this evening, the Avenue Montaigne and the Rue François Ier turn into a wonderful promenade from dusk to evening.
Red carpet, wondrous decors, ephemeral structures, animations …
To keep the torch lit for what the world envies us : » The Spirit of Paris ».
More than ten years ago, on the Committee’s initiative, the fashion Houses wanted this beautiful celebration to also be one to help a worthwhile cause.
This year, the Committee chose to help the » Rire Médecin » (Laughing Doctor) created by Caroline Simonds in 1991. She is the pioneer of clowns in hospitals with more
than 20 years of experience.
As it is easier to heal a happy child, this association gathers 88 clowns that perform in the children’s wards of hospitals in France.
Numerous stars such as the actor François-Xavier Demaison or the actress Annie Duperey back this cause.
Here is what the member fashion Houses will be offering in their boutiques :
