Jil Sander is leaving Jil Sander, physician contrary to the fact that the brand is about to open a new store at Avenue Montaigne. The founder of the eponymous brand is leaving the creative department for the third time already (this time for personal reasons).
In 2005, Raf Simons took successfully over the creative direction, which led to today’s Jil Sander-style: pure and noble.
Although we cannot give you an inside on who is going to succeed Jil Sander (is it Gabriele Colangelo?), we do can show you around in the brand new Avenue Montaigne-boutique.
Respecting Ms. Sander’s vision of the brand, the store with two floors expresses the unconditional devotion to design and contemporary purity.
A spatial division and a new concept of lightning contribute to an amazing brightness of the space.
At ground level, a wide range of shoes, ready-to-wear woman and accessories can be retrieved. Please look at the details: so are the clothes trees made of nickel.
A unique spiral oaken staircase takes us to the second floor, where we find women’s and men’s collections.
The store concept really reflects Jil Sander’s esthetics: a unique design and a discrete, informal elegance.
