The Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent in its present Salons, try from January 20 to February 7, try 2015, an exhibition of works by Jean Cocteau and portraits of the poet, entitled Jean Cocteau, a US donation – Robert Rubin.
Amateur and connoisseur of Jean Cocteau, the American collector Robert Rubin, who lived for many years her apartment in the Palais Royal, brought together a group of forty works that had been presented at the Cocteau retrospective in 2003 at the Centre Pompidou: a unique collage from 1926, a portrait of Paul Eluard, the poet of photographs by Berenice Abbott, Limot, Cecil Beaton, Pierre Jahan … Today, this set is the subject of a donation made to the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent before being greeted at the Maison Jean Cocteau, Milly-la-Forêt.
