Louis Vuitton show, fall winter 2012
After the Chanel airbus, here comes the express Vuitton train.
This morning in the midst of the Louvre’s cour carrée, Marc Jacobs once again had us dreaming and traveling to the 1900′s.
We enter into this world of travel and everything seems real, station noises, smoke, even the LV branded clock. The silhouettes get off the train followed by their luggage porters (Let us not forget that Vuitton is first and foremost a trunk craftsman !)
Long fur coats, velvet hats, feathers, satin, even the buttons are designed to make us travel to the past. The silhouettes are just vintage enough to announce a romantic winter. It’s up to us to write our own fashion!
