It is the energy of a renaissance season that Karl Lagerfeld has chosen to illustrate for CHANEL’s Spring-Summer 2018 pre-collection. With doe eyes and a carmine mouth, model Camille Hurel embodies a revisited sportswear look, infused with the CHANEL style. An elegant quilted leather chair does the trick for the decor set in Karl Lagerfeld’s 7L Studio.
Modernized sportswear mixes styles and uses the iconic tweed jacket to shorten it or turn it into a bomber jacket. Mademoiselle’s fetish material also dresses in a shortsuit, a short, fringed top and wide belts worn like micro-skirts. This sporty chic spirit is enhanced by flashy orange sneakers combined with a sparkling sequins dress, a tuxedo jacket, a ruffled lace blouse and tops with camellias on their tops.
For spring, the leather is supple and naturally accompanies the movements without hindering them: in midnight blue, it protects a shirt closed with a camellia brooch in muslin and grosgrain and long or midi skirts.
Tweed and camellias, but also low-cut mittens on the hands, quilted leather on wooden heeled mules, double C hits on the cuffs or chains adorning the pockets and belts of the leather sets: CHANEL’s codes are ubiquitous.
The bags also come with their signature: the pockets mix the multicolored tweed leather, sometimes exotic, while the vanity bag comes in a grained leather version stitched with a n XL double C and a white leather bag with clean lines is enhanced by a CC clasp and chains with large golden links.
The pre-collection Spring-Summer 2018 of CHANEL will be available in store from January 15, 2018.
