As the starting bell for the Parisian Fashion week has rung, we look at the trends spotted in the Milan shows.
At Prada’s, we noticed the tendency towards length. Skirts, dresses, coats, overcoats, better be tall this winter to dress in Prada !
We also noticed the influence of men’s wardrobes in the cuts and in the collars. Finally, the amazing embroidery work; emblematic of what the brand is known for.
Original show at Armani, the models came down the runway by twos, threes and even fours. Giorgio sees the winter with a lot of color and with big embroidered flowers.
We also find a masculine influence in men’s loafers, very trendy next season.
Donatella Versace, was inspired by Rooney Mara in the film Millenium. The models wear bangs Jeanne d’Arc style and, of course, leather is omni present.
Longer styles and spectacular dresses.
At Marni’s, the skirt is worn straight and under the knee. The collection is quite colorful but without prints (as opposed to the collection created for H&M).
Here as well, the belted hip cuts are reminiscent of men’s wardrobes.
This masculine influence can also be found at Gucci’s in the ample coats and the astrakam collars. But at Frida Giannini’s, the mood was very « let’s take a walk in haunted houses ». The collection is entirely black (cape, velvet, furs, embroidery) and completely mesmerising.
